Terms and Conditions

All fees must have cleared 24 hours before your session. If you have taken advantage of our block booking discount, then the full course payment will be required 24 hours before the first session or your discount will be removed.

Payment can be sent via BACS, PayPal or internet banking.


If a session needs to be cancelled by the mentor, then you will be contacted and your appointment can be rescheduled with no loss of fees.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, you can do so without charge with more than 24 hours notice. If less than 24 hours notice is given then your session will still be charged.


All sessions, including telephone and skype, will be arranged using the GMT time zone. You are responsible for any fees incurred by your telephone or internet provider. Please make sure you are prepared and have completed any requested tasks in good time for your sessions as this will allow you to get the maximum benefit.

Your Contract

At the beginning of your sessions, you will be required to sign a contract setting out the terms and conditions in full. You have the right to opt out of the agreement at any time, but it is advised that you do not stop sessions until an action plan for moving forward independently has been put in place with your mentor.


Mentors are not medically qualified. For any medical concerns please consult a doctor as soon as possible. Mentoring may be undertaken alongside medical treatments but should not be used as a substitute for medical help. Lighthouse Mentoring is fully insured and registered with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and the Federation of Drug & Alcohol Practitioners.

Lighthouse Mentoring is also a registered non-medical helper with DSA-QAG status which allows for this service to be used through funding from Student Finance England’s Disabled Student’s Allowance.

Mentors have completed all required training, including first aid.
